The Alaskan Adventure:
- In July 1979, I towed the jeep back to Colorado and prepared it to go with me to my first duty station.
- The Blue Mule found itself being towed to Anchorage, Alaska, except for on the "Going to the Sun" highway in the Glacier National Park, Montana.
- The "Going to the Sun" highway required the jeep to travel under its own power.
- Upon arrival in Anchorage, the Blue Mule, as well as the Truck, needed a huge bath after days on the Alaskan Highway.
