Newsflash

The first phase of the reconstruction of the St. Elmo Town Hall and Jail was completed in the fall of 2006. Emslie Woodworking and Older Than Dirt Construction have almost finished the windows, and we look forward to an all-out painting party next spring. Call 719-395-8458 or email us to sign up!

Thanks to El Pomar Foundation, Boettcher Foundation, Chaffee County and numerous individual donors, we met the conditions of the Gates Family Foundation's challenge grant. Due to inkind donations and the contractor’s keen eye for cutting costs without reducing quality, we saved some costs. As our partners in this project, The Gates Family Foundation will share in some of that thriftiness, so the grant award was reduced to $17,000.
